1270 XYT the Sports Station!

While in New Orleans helping with the hurricane recovery efforts, i always like to represent my hometown radio station WXYT 1270 am. The home of Hire it Done! sundays 8-10 am. 

Barge anyone?

This Barge is stuck in front of someone's home! How are they gonna move it? 

Another Helfman? hmmmm.....

Hey ! I thought i was the only Helfman! Apparantly there is a Helfman in HOUSTON Texas!

Well, as i contuinue to venture thru the gulf coast i always come across a strange scene. This boat is a bout 1 mile inland on the front porch of this house! The water was at the bottom of the porch roof The house is totally destroyed. 

The famous Leah Chase

While i am in New Orleans looking for good community based projects i ran into the Famous Leah Chase. She is the Owner and head chef of Dooky Chases' restaurant in New Orleans. She is a very strong woman. When i stopped into her establishment she was there cleaning dishes and trying to get a foothold on the devastation that hit her restaurant.

Just left this famous establishment. The water was 6 feet high.

2006 should be........

Well the new year is upon us and HOPEFULLY 2006 will be better than 2005.
I am off to the Gulf Coast for ome scouting missions for ABC television (Extreme Makeover Home Edition). I will post pics daily as i gather infor and stories. You really never know how bad things are until you see whats going in other places. Being from Detroit is a real eye opener to other cities. In so many ways i could write forever on the good the bad the ugly of being from Detroit. Well anyways, Happy New Year and Don't forget to tune in on SUNDAYS from 8am-10 am on WXYT AM 1270 "the sports station" where you can hear my radio show "Hire It Done". Its a good show. Enjoy. Adam

Gulf coast nightmare!

I just got back from the gulf coast and what a nightmare. My brain is NOT processing what it has seen. More to come....
